That’s why Haynes is launching a campaign targeting viewers of car and truck repair videos on YouTube. The animated promotion will be broadcast ahead of relevant content, reminding viewers that if they have a problem with their vehicle, Haynes will most likely have a solution.

One of Haynes’ oldest customers is now selling our newest product - a 24hr online repair manual. Halfords is the UK’s leading retailer of motoring, cycling and leisure products and services and the two companies have a relationship which goes back over 40 years.
This week, a project was completed to integrate the sale of online manuals on halfords.com. Customers can preview, select and purchase an online manual which is then available for use immediately post-checkout. Halfords is the first retailer to offer a 24hr pass to an online manual, costing just £1.99 it is ideal for customers who have just one job to complete. Longer periods are also available at 14 days, 90 days or 1 year.
A Haynes online manual includes everything in the print manual, and more. Every manual includes a range of supporting video material, and some include extensive video guides unique to each vehicle. More than 2,000 jobs can now be completed with the help of video content.

As the mechanic cannot resolve a malfunction on the basis of a fault code and the description alone, this is where the HaynesPro Vehicle Electronics Smart Assistant (VESA) comes into play.
Autologic Diagnostics Ltd. and Launch Europe GmbH have recently integrated the HaynesPro VESA module into their devices. Using fault codes as a starting point, VESA generates model-specific diagnostic solutions in the tool and the mechanic gets a simplified, step-by-step wizard that takes him or her through the overall diagnostic process.

The first four titles in the series are Clouds, Potato, Sleep and Van Life. More titles will join the range in Autumn 2019, with Bee Hotel, Car Hacks, Grandad and Menopause taking the range to eight in total. More titles will be added in 2020.

A new range of video guides has been added to every Clymer and Haynes online motorcycle manual. In total, six professionally produced films are now available covering critical areas of maintenance and repair that are typically encountered by DIYers.
The videos cover the following essential topics: engine oil and filter changes; spark plug replacement; brake pad checks and replacement; how to bleed your brakes; a guide to troubleshooting electrical faults; and of course, how to change headlight bulbs.

By replacing paper instructions through online repair procedures for timing belts, Gates will use less paper, minimise logistical challenges and maintain a more up-to-date installation guide in many more languages.
End users will receive access to HaynesPro repair procedures in a customised web portal using a QR code. HaynesPro ProFIT enables Gates to reduce their CO² footprint by eliminating paper instructions off the boxes and make the change to online manuals.
